AI Metadata generation can be triggered automatically as content enters your Zype library — whether through the web uploader, batch import, or MRSS feed sync. This means you can have AI-generated metadata ready the moment a video is ingested, without any manual intervention.
Upload Workflow (Single Video)
When uploading a video through the Zype web uploader (Library → Import & Upload → Upload Video), you will see three AI-related toggles on the upload form:
| Toggle | What it does |
| Enable AI Transcription | Transcribes the video and generates SRT/VTT subtitle files automatically. Billed at $0.05/min after the 300-min free tier. |
| Enable AI Translation | Translates the generated transcript into your configured target languages. Billed at $0.05/min after the 300-min free tier. |
| Auto Generate Metadata | When AI Transcription is complete, automatically generates AI metadata for the video using the fields enabled in AI Metadata Settings. |
| ℹ️ Note: Auto Generate Metadata depends on AI Transcription. If you toggle Auto Generate Metadata ON but AI Transcription is OFF, metadata will not be generated until a transcript is available. |
Batch Import and MRSS Workflow
AI Metadata generation is also available for content ingested via MRSS feeds. When configuring or editing an MRSS source, you will find the Enable AI Metadata Generation toggle:
- When ON, every video synced from this MRSS feed will automatically have AI Metadata generated after its transcript is created.
- This setting works alongside Enable AI Transcription and Enable AI Translation on the same MRSS configuration screen.
API Ingestion
AI Metadata generation is also available for content ingested via the Zype API. When creating or updating a video via the API, you can include parameters to trigger AI transcription and metadata generation. Refer to the Zype API documentation for the relevant fields and endpoint details.
