Every video in your Zype library has an AI Generate Metadata button and individual field-level AI wand icons on its Details page. These tools let you generate, review, and apply AI-suggested metadata for a single video — either all at once or one field at a time.
The Video Details AI Controls
When you open a video and navigate to the Details tab, you will see three controls at the top of the Video Details section:
- Undo button (↺): Reverts the last AI suggestion applied to this video.
- Redo button (↻): Re-applies the last AI suggestion if you undid it (“Redo last AI suggestion”).
- AI Generate Metadata button (✨): Runs AI generation across all enabled fields for this video at once.
Next to each individual metadata field (Title, Description, Short Description, Genre, Additional Keywords), there is also a yellow wand icon (✨). Clicking the wand on a single field generates AI content for that field only, without affecting the rest of the video.
Generating Metadata for All Fields
- Open a video from your CMS Library and go to the Details tab.
- Click the AI Generate Metadata button at the top of the Video Details section.
- Zype will generate AI suggestions for all enabled fields (as configured in AI Metadata Settings).
- Review the generated values directly in the fields. Fields that were updated will be highlighted.
- Click Save Changes to commit the AI-generated values.
| ℹ️ Note: AI generation requires the video to have a transcript or subtitle file. If no transcript is available, you will be prompted to generate one first. |
Generating Metadata for a Single Field
- Open a video and go to the Details tab.
- Locate the field you want to update (e.g., Description).
- Click the wand icon (✨) next to that field.
- The AI will generate a suggestion and populate the field.
- Review the suggestion. Edit it directly if needed.
- Click Save Changes to commit, or click the Undo button to revert to the previous value.
Undoing and Redoing AI Suggestions
The two arrow buttons next to the AI Generate Metadata button provide quick undo/redo for the most recent AI generation run:
- Undo (↺): Reverts all fields changed in the last AI generation run back to their previous values.
- Redo (↻): Re-applies the last AI suggestion if you pressed Undo.
