How to Filter Advanced Analytics Data Follow

 

All of the views within Advanced Analytics can be filtered by several global tools, allowing you to analyze analytics data by time and custom filters. This article outlines how to use the available filter tools.

Time-Based Filtering

Real Time Data: The date range bar reveals a "Real Time" filter, allowing you to see a minute-by-minute breakdown of analytics.

Filter By Date: The date range bar also contains quick filter date ranges (e.g. Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days) or you can pick your own date and time range from the calendar view.

Selecting Your Timezone: Select the time zone you want analytics to be displayed in from the UTC dropdown. If you are unsure of your time zone, you can reference your UTC offset here.

Filtering by Dimensions

Click the filter icon to bring up a Select Filters window that gives you access to a list of dimensions to filter the views by. Screen_Shot_2021-03-03_at_12.33.28_PM.png

  1. Select a dimension on the left 
  2. Select a filter attribute from the dropdown
  3. Click the arrow to choose that filter
  4. Add a custom filter name on the right in the Chosen Filters panel and save custom filter (Optional)
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 to apply additional filters
  6. Click Apply

Below is a table that outlines the optional filters that are available: 

Filter Description
Country Geographic country of viewer

City

Geographic city of viewer
Device Endpoint that the viewer is accessing content from
Platform Operating system that the viewer is accessing content from
Asset Name Zype Video Title of an individual video
Video ID Zype Video ID of an individual video
Domain Individual web domains
ISP The Internet Service Provider the viewer is accessing content through

 

Filter Indicator

If you have applied a filter to your dashboard, you will see your currently applied filters in the top navigation bar.

View Filter: Hover on a dimension to see the selected filter. 

Remove Filter: Click the filter icon, and then select Clear at the bottom to remove all filters. To remove only one filter, select the minus (-) next to the filter in the Chosen Filters panel on the right.
