What is changing
Starting on December 16th, Zype will begin rolling out access to Zype Analytics 3, which will provide near real-time analytics data regarding your video delivery and viewer engagement. All customers should have this new feature available in the coming weeks.
The new “Zype Analytics 3” section of the Zype Dashboard will contain native analytics displays via dashboards that will give you deeper, more comprehensive insights into your video delivery and viewer engagement.
Analytics will now be grouped across four different categories:
- Concurrent Viewers Top Bar - Snapshot of concurrent viewer (by content type) refreshed every 60-seconds
- Engagement - Viewers, Viewers by Platform, Viewers by Geography Plays, Plays by Platform, Hours Watched, Hours Watched by Platform and more
- Revenue - Including Total Revenue, Subscription Revenue, Transaction Revenue, and more
- Platform Dynamics - Including Videos Managed, Impressions, Gigabytes Streamed, Stream Hours, and more
Each category of Zype Analytics 3 will have an overview page and additional detailed views for sub-categories of analytics metrics for in-depth performance data.
The insights gleaned from our new analytics will provide you with complete transparency into your video and product performance, allow you to optimize your streaming products, and troubleshoot streams if errors occur. With these new analytics capabilities, Zype users can benefit from near real-time measurement of their video product performance and improve their customer experience, without needing to leverage additional third-party analytics tools.
Zype Analytics 3 unifies Zype into a cohesive platform across web, mobile, and OTT/CTV apps. This provides a unified view for Zype Apps Creator customers who also use Zype Streaming Platform for web and API based video hosting and streaming.
We are actively investing in Zype Analytics 3 and more reports and features will be coming. If you’d like to participate in active product planning with Zype, please let us know!
How it will work
Zype Analytics 3 will begin rolling out to Zype customers starting on December 16th. A new navigation menu to the updated analytics will appear under the revised "Analytics 3" heading on the left sidebar of the main Zype Dashboard.
There is no extra charge to leverage this new analytics offering. These new Zype Analytics 3 capabilities will be made available for every customer, without any pricing adjustments needed.
The legacy Zype Analytics solution that is currently available under the “Analytics” section of the navigation in Zype’s Dashboard will remain available until the end of January 2025, and will be visible in the navigation bar under “Analytics 1.0”. The current “Advanced Analytics” offering powered by MediaMelon will be visible under “Advanced Analytics 2.0” and will remain available until the end of January 2025.
