Applies to: All customers using Analytics 1 dashboards and/or the Analytics V2 API
Effective date: January 30, 2026
Summary
We’re continuing to invest in and evolve Zype Analytics to better support scale, clarity, and long-term reporting needs.
On January 30, 2026, we will retire Analytics 1 and sunset the Analytics V2 API. Customers should transition to Enhanced Analytics 3, which includes 13-month engagement data retention and real-time analytics capture to help you monitor performance as it happens.
In addition, we’re updating retention windows across our analytics data sources:
Analytics 3 engagement data retention will be extended to 13 months
Historical Analytics player request data retention will be reduced to 24 months
(Analytics 3 Revenue and Platform Dynamics data will remain at 24 months)
What’s changing
1) Enhanced Analytics 3 with 13-month engagement retention
Enhanced Analytics 3 is Zype’s next-generation analytics experience, designed for greater scale and flexibility with:
13-month engagement data retention
Real-time analytics visibility (versus Analytics 1 ~24-hour delay)
Clear, purpose-specific endpoints that replace Analytics V2’s aggregated query pattern
Improved dashboards for engagement and performance reporting
2) Analytics 1 is being retired
As part of this retirement:
Analytics 1 dashboards will be removed from the Zype Admin
Analytics 1 reporting will no longer be available after the retirement date
3) Analytics V2 API is sunsetting
The Analytics V2 API will be shut down on January 30, 2026
Analytics V2 requests should be migrated to the corresponding Analytics 3 endpoints
Note on historical data: while the V2 API is sunsetting, historical player request data retention will be reduced to 2 years (available via the supported Analytics 3 approach and documentation below)
