Zype’s robust analytics offers you data to help make important programming and marketing decisions related to what content your consumers are watching, and how and when they’re consuming it. Our analytics generally fall under the following categories:
| Analytics category | What does it do? | Requirements for support |
| Streaming analytics | Tells you how much content has been streamed by your consumers over a given period of time using server side streaming calculations. | Requires using Zype for streaming and/or delivery (i.e., not supported for self-hosted or 3rd party video hosts). |
| Engagement analytics | Tells you how consumers are watching content on their local devices. | Requires using Zype’s player service and/or app templates where tracking is supported (i.e., not supported if using your own player, using custom embeds without paywalls, and/or non-templated app). |
| Attribution analytics | Tells you where video requests were generated on the web; especially useful if you’ve distributed your player embeds outside of your own website properties. | Requires using Zype’s player service and/or app templates where tracking is supported (i.e., not supported if using your own player and/or non-templated app). |
| Revenue analytics | Tells you how much revenue you’ve generated from your paywalled video content; note this does not include advertising revenue as that is calculated and provided by the ad server / SSP you use to sell your publisher content through. | Requires either using Zype’s paywalls or importing your subscription and/or transaction data into the Zype platform (i.e., not supported if you use your own paywalls and are not importing transaction data into Zype). |
| Consumer analytics | Tracking of consumer activity, including new consumer sign ups, transactions, cancellations, and consumer metadata. | Requires either using Zype’s paywalls or importing your consumer data into the Zype platform (i.e., not supported if you use your own paywalls and are not importing consumer data into Zype). |
