Organize Related Videos in CMS

The Related Videos feature allows you to define direct relationships between videos in your Zype CMS library. This is especially helpful for connecting supplemental or companion content—like trailers, alternate camera angles, bloopers, or follow-up interviews—into one cohesive experience.

You can now manage these relationships in the Related Videos tab on any video’s Edit Video page.

• Easily add related videos through a UI-based video picker
• Relationships are bi-directional—no need to add both directions manually
• Use optional metadata fields like Source, Source ID, and Group to further organize relationships
• Option to flag a related video as a Trailer

How It Works

1. Navigate to the Related Videos Tab

From the Zype CMS dashboard, go to Video Library and select a video to edit. Then click on the Related Videos tab.

2. Add a Related Video

Click the + CHOOSE VIDEO button to search and select another video in your library.

3. (Optional) Define Metadata

• Source: Label the source of the relationship (e.g., "Interview Clip", "Trailer", "Extra Content")
• Source ID: Reference ID for external mapping
• Group: Used for grouping sets of related videos (e.g., “Bonus Content Series”)
• Trailer?: Toggle to mark the video as a trailer

Click + NEW RELATED VIDEO to add more entries.

New: Related Videos Status Card on Video Details Page

In addition to managing related videos in the dedicated tab, a new status card now appears on the main Details page of each video. This card provides a visual preview of some of the connected related videos.

What’s Included:

• Thumbnail previews of all related videos
• Clickable links to jump directly to the related content
• “View All” link to browse the full set of related videos

This offers a quick, accessible snapshot of associated content directly from the video’s primary details view—no need to navigate into another tab to see what’s linked.
