Zype Streaming Platform

NEW

• Associate Related Videos in CMS 
  Introduces ability to add, edit and delete related videos to a target video
• Ability to enable Freewheel integration using the Admin UI
  Addition of Freewheel tile in the Integrations Marketplace in Zype CMS. Our new integration with Freewheel allows for enhanced ad monetization when leveraging Freewheel's CSAI for VOD.
• Additional metadata field enabling alternative video and playlist titles
  Users can now easily manage internal and external content titles with dual-title support for videos and playlists — streamlining organization behind the scenes while keeping your brand polished on the front end.
• Cloud encoder notifications
  Users can now prevent unnecessary cloud costs and optimize live streaming operations with automatic alerts for On-Demand encoders running longer than 12 hours
• Subtitle Conversion Options
  Ability to convert Subtitles from SRT to VTT and vice versa
• Source URL in Video Imports
  Users will be able to see the source url in the video imports page
   

AI ENABLEMENT

• New Transcription Editor for AI-Generated Transcriptions
  Introduction of new Transcription Editor to display and allow editing of auto-generated transcriptions
• Leverage Hotkey Shortcuts in Transcription Editor 
  Addition of editor hotkeys in the Transcriptions tab to make it easier to edit automatically generated transcripts
• Toggles to Enable AI-Generated Transcription
  Adds AI toggles in Site Settings for Uploads and Video UI
• AI Icon to Demarcate Transcribed Videos
  AI icon will now appear next to content that has been automatically transcribed and had subtitles generated

UPDATED

• Auto-Transcribe Flag in Uploads API
  A new auto_transcribe parameter lets you trigger automatic speech-to-text processing the moment a video is uploaded—no extra calls required.
• Related Videos API Documentation
  The API Docs now include full specs for the Related Videos endpoints, making it easier to surface related videos
• "internal_title" Support across the stack
  The internal_Title metadata field is now:
  • Stored on video & playlist models
  • Returned in Zype API responses
  • Indexed in Atlas Search for faster internal discovery
  • Published in Zype Apps Creator PubSub events
  • Add video "internal_title" to atlas search

This ensures consistent internal naming and searchability wherever you work.

FIXED

• V3 Analytics Filters
  • 'Video Startup Time' filter now applies correctly to both Users and Plays charts
  • 'Played' filter now consistently respected on the Plays chart
• Reporting & Metrics
  • Total Revenue chart now loads reliably
  • Resolved mismatches that occasionally showed large discrepancies between Stream Hours and Impressions
• Media & Metadata
  • Fixed issue where auto-generated thumbnails were not loading in some instances
  • Fixed issue where Consumer Custom Metadata was not working as expected
  • Fixed issue related to the Zobjects API where custom attributes were incorrectly populated
  • Fixed issue with the API where the custom attribute parameter was not working as expected
     

Zype Apps Creator

NEW

• Expanded Options for Default Colors and Designs
  Additional default colors and design settings for existing apps as well as for future new apps
• Ability to Expand Description on Roku
  Added a 'More' button to the series layout to ensure the full description can be read on Roku applications

UPDATED

• Hotjar Integration to track user behavior with precision
  Enhanced Hotjar integration now maps real user sessions to platform activity

FIXED

• Enhanced Session Expiration Handling
  Resolved an issue that displayed a blank screen when a user session had expired
• EPG Display Fixes
  • Android Mobile: Fixed blank EPG screen on certain devices
  • Web: Timeline now renders correctly for pre-midnight slots and on larger screens
• Content & Navigation
  • Fixed issue where Deleted Series were still showing thumbnails on apps after they have been deleted
  • Breadcrumb UI now remains intact regardless of playlist depth, ensuring smooth navigation 
     

Zype Playout

NEW

• Multi-UDP and RTMP Output Destination Support
  Adds support for multi-UDP and RTMP destination outputs
• Add MS option to Track item inspector
  Adds the ability to set the milliseconds in the track item inspector

UPDATED

• Additional Custom Profile Outputs
  Enables custom profiles with 4:3 and 3:2 aspect ratio outputs with interlacing, ensuring optimal playback across diverse content formats.
• API Support for Expanded Custom Profiles
  Enables more options when creating custom profiles via API

FIXED

• Incorrect Duration on Blocks
  Fixed issue where the incorrect duration of programming blocks was showing in the list view
• Track Item Color Changes when Item is On Priority Track
  Fixed issue where live event track items turned blue when overlaid with other tracks. Live tracks will now remain red, and the base track will display the barber pole graphic when overlaid with priority track items.
