Zype Streaming Platform

NEW

• ZObject Image Creation via API
  You can now create and manage ZObject images directly through the Zype API—no need to log in to the Admin UI.
• Language Column Added to Program Guide Index
  A new column for “Language” has been added to the Program Guides index page, allowing users to quickly identify the language of each guide.

FIXED

• EPG Feed Parsing for Program Guides
  Resolved an issue where certain program guide XML feeds weren’t properly ingested, resulting in incomplete or misaligned data in the guide output.
• Duplicate Uploads for Audio Files
  Fixed an issue where audio-based videos resulted in multiple uploads being incorrectly associated with a single video asset.
• Usage Report Visibility for Finance Managers
  Corrected a permissions issue that prevented users with the Finance Manager role from accessing the Usage Report in specific cases.
• Custom Thumbnail Uploads via API
  Resolved a bug where custom thumbnails were not applying when using the Create Videos API endpoint under certain conditions.

Zype Apps Creator

NEW

• Roku Universal Search Now Supported
  Content is now fully discoverable through Roku’s Universal Search on Roku devices.

FIXED

Vizio

• VIZIO Search Feed Compliance
  Updated production types in VIZIO feeds to ensure shorts and other content types are properly categorized.
• SSAI Playback Parameters on VIZIO
  The advertiser ID is now correctly passed in SSAI playback URLs for VIZIO apps, ensuring proper tracking.
• Casting from Android Devices
  Fixed an issue preventing users casting from Android devices (e.g., Galaxy S23 specifically) to Vizio Smart TVs.

FireTV

• Fire TV & Android App Enhancements
  Fixed an issue causing Fire TV and Android apps to become unstable on the interstitial screen during playback.  This issue has been identified and corrected.

Android TV

• Back Button App Exit Bug
  Resolved a bug where pressing the back button during the first 5 seconds of video playback caused the app to exit on Android TV.

Samsung TV

• Navigation Lag on Samsung TVs
  Improved performance and responsiveness of navigation in Samsung TV apps.

Multi-Platform Updates

• Analytics 3 Data Accuracy
  Fixed issues related to how session durations, video completion rates, and watch times were reported across web and iOS platforms using Analytics 3.
• "Continue Watching" Playlist Bug
  Fixed a bug that prevented the "Continue Watching" playlist from populating correctly in the Home section.
• "New Episode" Label Display Size
  Adjusted the visual styling for the "New Episode" label so it appears correctly on home screens.
• Live Event Playback Stability Issue
  Fixed a playback stability issue that occurred when trying to play Live Event from the Program Guide Section.
• CSAI Ad Call Behavior Improvements
  Standardized ad call behavior and parameter encoding across platforms to ensure a consistent CSAI experience.

Zype Playout

• Ad Timings and Subtitles Cleanup
  Ad timings and subtitle data are now properly deleted when their associated asset is removed via the Playout API.
