Analytics 1.0 and Advanced Analytics are now EOL. Please refer to this announcement for more information: Introducing Zype Analytics 3
Video player impressions are successful serves of a video player, whether served directly from Zype, from a third-party platform such as Verizon, Vimeo Pro, or your own custom-hosted OTT players.
Video player impressions metrics can help you determine your most valuable app endpoints, and evaluate apps that may not be attracting as many viewers. In addition to the below information available in the Video Player Impressions report, you can view the following additional reports:
- Impressions by Device
- Impressions by Player
- Impression by Browser
- Impressions by Operating System
- Impressions by Revenue Model
- Impressions by Country
The Video Player Impressions report shows the total number of all player requests made to Zype's Player API Endpoint for a specified date range, grouped by day. Note: This number may not match the corresponding count on your Usage Report, which is specific to billable player requests. You can learn more about the Usage Report here.
To access the report, click the link to the report on the Analytics Dashboard. If you are signed in you can also access it here.
The report displays a line chart showing the total player impressions for the specified date range. Hover your mouse on a point in the chart to display total player impressions for the corresponding date.
By default, the date range is the last 30 days counting down from the time the report is generated. To change the date range, specify a different start and end date, then click Refresh.
You may customize the report any way you want. For example, to generate a report for the last 15 days, enter the date from 15 days ago as the start date, and the current date as the end date.
To export the report in CSV format, click Export. You will then get an email containing a link to the exported .CSV file. Click the link to download the file.
At the top is a summary of the number of impressions from the day before, the last week, the last 30 days, and the last 90 days. Thus, you will know at a glance if your impressions are improving or declining over the given period.
At the bottom, a table of the dates with their corresponding impressions are displayed, sorted chronologically from the latest down to the earliest. Click the Date column once to reverse the sort order.
Other available Analytics reports break down total player impressions by device, player, browser, operating system, revenue model, and country.
