Q: If my existing workflow configuration requires me to use Zype for long-term storage of pre-processed content, will I be charged?
Yes, you will be charged at a rate of $0.04/GB
Q: Can I use Zype and not be charged for long-term upload storage?
Yes, by selecting the 72-hour storage retention policy, Zype will automatically remove uploads from your Zype Admin account once the files have been transcoded into your desired formats.
Q: I’ve just uploaded a video into Zype Admin. How long can I leave it in my library before the long-term storage fee kicks in?

Q: I am a Zype Playout customer. Will I now be charged for the videos that I store to use as programming for my playout channels?

Q: If I do nothing, what will happen?
If you choose not to take any action, starting on October 16th, you will be billed monthly for storage of video uploads based on the total GB of uploads you have in your library at the end of the month.
Q: How is my total video upload usage calculated and billed?
To determine the monthly bill, Zype collects data on your upload storage usage at daily intervals throughout the month. The average storage usage calculated from these daily intervals is used to determine your total billable storage. This approach ensures that your monthly storage bill accurately reflects your typical usage patterns rather than peak storage moments.
Q: How will this fee be applied to my current bill?

Q: What happens when I delete a video in the Zype Admin?
When you delete a video, Zype will permanently remove the associated transcoded outputs, thumbnails, custom thumbnails, subtitles, and related assets within 72 hours, including the original upload. Deleting a video will override any upload retention policies, ensuring the upload is also deleted within the 72-hour window.
