Searching for Content

Customers can search for content using the in-app search tool. Results are based on the query. Content with type Extra/Trailer or Preview is excluded from search results.

The Search section exists by default in Apps Creator but is disabled initially.

Enabling Search Section:

1. Launch Apps Creator dashboard.
2. Access your Brand.
3. Go to Content → Sections.
4. Click on the Pencil for Search section.

5. Enable the toggle in the Details section.

Once enabled, the Search section appears on supported platforms.

Search as an Icon:

You can remove Search from the main 5 sections and still show it as an icon.

1. Launch Apps Creator dashboard.
2. Access your Brand.
3. Go to Content → Sections.
4. Click on the Pencil for Search section.
5. Enable the toggle under Details.
6. Go to Appearance → Visibility → TV.

When the Search section is enabled and made visible only for TV, it won’t appear as one of the top 5 active sections. Instead, a search icon shows on the navigation bar in the app on all platforms (TV and mobile).
