What is Xumo?
Xumo is a playthrough distribution endpoint that delivers video-on-demand and live digital channels direct to consumers through smart TV, mobile and other streaming device integrations. Xumo brings consumers 100+ premium digital channels via applications that are fully equipped with content recommendations, curated programs and dynamic ad insertion capabilities.
How do I send content to Xumo from Zype?
Xumo content is delivered via MRSS feed from your Zype account. Zype has created an MRSS feed optimized for delivering content to Xumo, as well as a flow in our platform to easily generate feeds based on playlists, categories, or video sources.
Xumo is a curated platform, so you must contact Xumo directly to inquire about getting your content featured in their applications. You can learn more about working with Xumo on their corporate website.
What information is sent to XUMO in Zype's feeds?
Note that Xumo feeds only support Zype-hosted content today. Zype provides the following metadata and video information to XUMO:
- Video mezzanine files (if available)
- All required video metadata (e.g., titles, descriptions, categories) as well as required assets (e.g., thumbnail images)
- Video ad timings (if available) from existing timings managed on videos in the Zype platform
