How to Use
The configuration options available on this page can be somewhat technical in nature, and are explained in more detail below and during account onboarding. Questions about individual fields can be directed to your onboarding specialist or at success@mazsystems.com.
General Information
This tab includes general information about your Amazon app. We will use this info to fill in all the details on Amazon Developer Portal, during app submission.
App store name: This is the name of your app, that is displayed on the App Store. It has to be 30 characters or less.
Description: Use this text to let the user know about your app even before they download it. This will be displayed on your App Store listing.
Short Description: A 'short description' description of your application that will be displayed on the mobile version of the Amazon App Store.
Mobile / Tablet Assets
Please provide all Image assets for the Mobile app, as per the required specifications. These assets are mandatory for final submissions. Screenshots can be skipped during the test build creation process. However, these will be required during the final app submission.
Video Asset [Optional]
The video will be displayed next to your app screenshots, in the App Store. This is a creative way to showcase your apps on the App Store. However, these are not mandatory.
Fire TV Assets
Please provide all Image assets for Fire TV, as per the required specifications. These assets are mandatory for final submissions. Screenshots can be skipped during the test build creation process. However, these will be required during the final app submission.
Amazon Developer Portal Developer Access
It is mandatory to provide us access to your Amazon developer account by adding devaccounts@mazsystems.com as an Admin user to your account. We use this access to create, submit, and maintain your Amazon apps on your behalf. Learn more about creating an Amazon Developer account and providing us the necessary access, here.
Configuration Settings
Mobile
Amazon Mobile Google Analytics Tracking ID: Please refer to this article to get a UA ID for your app from Google Analytics. (you may use an existing UA ID)
Mobile App Bundle ID: This is a unique identifier for your app on the Amazon Developer Portal. If you already have an old app on the App Store and want us to submit an app update over that with a new Zype app, please add the Bundle Identifier from your old app. Your old app's developer can help you find this bundle identifier. You can also find it in the Amazon Developer Portal.
If it's a new app, we will give it a new bundle ID. You can enter the bundle ID in this format:- com.maz.tvod[your app id]. You can get the App ID for your app from the Apps Creator URL for your app. Please refer to the screenshot below.
In the above example - com.maz.tvod117 will be the bundle ID for the Amazon app.
Fire TV
FireTV Google Analytics Tracking ID: Please refer to this article to get a UA ID for your app from Google Analytics. (you may use an existing UA ID)
Fire TV App Bundle ID: In most cases, the bundle ID of your Fire TV app remains the same as the Mobile App. Therefore if you have generated the bundle ID for the Amazon Mobile app, you can copy the same for the Fire TV app.
