Updates in Zype Streaming Platform
More Detailed View in Video Library - View Series, Season, Episode
In the CMS Video Library view, you can see additional columns with Series, Season and Episode metadata for each video asset. This update makes episodic metadata available immediately in the library UX, and allows customers to export these details in .CSV format from the Library directly, especially useful for broadcasters who have episodic metadata.
New columns available for Series, Season, Episode data
Support for Custom Query params in Custom password reset URL
This update allows customers to append custom query parameters to the password reset URL, providing more flexibility for integrating unique workflows and use cases during the password reset process.
Customers can now include custom parameters, such as those for token-based resets or specific redirect paths, to better tailor the experience to their needs.
Custom password reset URL now supports custom query params
New Capabilities in Zype Playout
Support for SRT and Zixi Inputs
Zype Playout now supports SRT and Zixi live Push Inputs for live video ingestion in Zype's playout services. Using SRT or Zixi protocols, Playout users can take advantage of seamless, low-latency, and secure transport of live video feeds into the playout system, providing support for both public and private network streaming scenarios. Users can leverage a maximum of 2 Push Inputs per channel.
This enhancement broadens the range of ingest options available to customers, particularly for those working in live broadcast environments or managing contribution feeds from remote locations. It improves the reliability, security, and quality of live streams, supporting high-quality broadcast standards while reducing latency issues.
Made available for all Zype Playout customers to use, Zixi and SRT protocols will enable broadcasters and live streaming content providers who require robust, secure, and scalable ingest solutions for high-performance Playout.
Schedule 30-Days out using Dynamic Blocks
Many Playout users take advantage of our rules as a means of automating Playout channel programming. This new extension of the recurrence rules allows Playout users to pre-program content up to 30-days out from air date vs the prior 14 day limit. Recurrence rules allow channel programmers to fill channels with programming based on established parameters, so they can prefill programming schedules well in advance of the intended air dates. This update allows them to maintain compliance with downstream syndication providers who may require a longer duration of prescheduled content to be programmed ahead of an airdate.
Configure Up to 10 Live Pull Inputs per Channel
Playout users who leverage multiple live stream Inputs can now configure up to 10 Live Pull Inputs per playout channel, an increase from the previous limit of 2 Live Pull Inputs per channel. This expansion is especially helpful for broadcast customers looking to switch between multiple live input sources and want a larger array of live inputs to choose from.
The Latest in Zype Apps Creator
Support for Qortex On-Stream Ads for Roku CTV Applications
In an expansion of Zype’s integration with Qortex for web-hosted video, Zype customers can now leverage Qortex’ On-Stream ad technology for Roku CTV applications created in Apps Creator. Designed to enhance monetization strategies for Connected TV (CTV) and web publishers, Qortex's On-Stream allows publishers to embed dynamic, non-intrusive ads directly into video content. Unlike traditional pre-, mid-, or post-roll ads, On-Stream ads are seamlessly integrated during the video streaming experience, maximizing viewer engagement without interruptions.
Example: Qortex On-Stream Dashboard and Ad placement
With this integration, publishers using Apps Creator can unlock new revenue opportunities for CTV advertising by creating fresh ad inventory that supports both programmatic and direct sales. Once an integration key is provided from Qortex, quick setup and activation of the Qortex technology can be done through Zype’s platform. Existing Zype customers can reach out to their Account Management representative to discuss how to activate Qortex for their Zype streaming deployments. You can read more about the advantages of using Qortex On-Stream with Zype on our integrations page. This integration is available for Roku CTV, Samsung, VIZIO, LG or web applications created in Apps Creator, along with Zype's embeddable web player.
Enhanced Application Feed Performance
All Apps Creator users can now benefit from faster, more reliable application feed processing, allowing for quicker content updates and an improved user experience, especially for customers managing large or complex content libraries.
In this latest release, Apps Creator has accelerated the delivery of content and asset updates to applications, improving the speed and efficiency of content delivery, reducing delays and enhancing the overall performance of apps while enabling more scalable operations. Customers can now enjoy faster processing, with optimizations delivering an average improvement of at least 21% on feed changes/releases.
