To ensure your channel is distributed to your desired destination, you must enable one or more destinations from the All Channels view. You will not be able to publish your channel if you do not have any destinations enabled. Selecting the plus sign from the Destinations section on the card view of your channel will initiate the New Destination workflow.
First, you'll need to select a destination. Zype supports the destinations below:
Destination Name | Ads Enabled | High Availability Required |
Freevee |
No | Yes |
FuboTv | No | Yes |
Hulu | No | No |
HLS3 | Yes | No |
HLS4 | Yes | No |
Localnow | Yes | No |
Plex | Yes | No |
PlutoTv | Yes | No |
Roku Channel | No | Yes |
RTMP | No | No |
Samsung Tv Plus | Yes | No |
Sling | No | No |
Twitch | No | No |
TCL | Yes | No |
Wurl | Yes | No |
Xumo | Yes | No |
Youtube | No | Yes |
Zeasn | Yes | No |
Zype | Yes | No |
Once your destination has been selected, you’ll have the option to enable it using the YES/NO toggle and enable ads using the YES/NO toggle. Please note that "Ads Enabled" will only appear for HLS types of destinations.
Note: Once you have programmed content and published your channel, your destination URL will appear below your destination name after a few moments, and it will be available for you to copy and share with partners.
If you choose to enable ads, you’ll also need to specify an Ad Slate, input your Ad Decision Server, and set any Custom Ad Parameters you would like to include. Selecting the ad slate dropdown will provide you with a list of your entire video library; whichever video you select will act as the fallback in the event ad fill fails. The option you select for "Ad Slate" will override what you selected for "Default Ad Slate" when Configuring a New Channel.
When using ads for monetization, your ad provider will generate a VAST-compliant tag URL for you to input as your Ad Decision Server, or ADS. This is the tag URL your channel uses when inserting ad breaks into the manifest.
For more targeted advertising, you may choose to add Custom Ad Parameters; these will be added to the request sent to your ad provider to enable ads that are served specific to the requesting audience. For example, you might include the ad parameter app_name to send the application name to your ad provider which might serve an app-specific ad to that segment of viewers. You might include target_options to initiate targeted ads according to options you've specified with your ad provider.
When all your settings have been updated, select “Save and Enable Destination” to move on to programming your channel. Continue to Editing a Channel.
