Guide to Activity Stream Messaging from Stripe Follow

Your analytics activity stream will contain a host of messages sent from your payment provider to indicate various activities. Below is a list of messages and corresponding activities that may appear with a Stripe integration.

X is a new customer. New customer has been added in Stripe.
X details were updated. Customer metadata has been updated.
X added a new [card] ending in XXXX. Customer has added a new card.
X has a new invoice for $0.00. Customer’s free trial period has initiated and Stripe has associated a $0.00 invoice for the free trial period. The customer does not see a notification for this.
X’s invoice for $0.00 was paid. A free trial invoice has been “paid” by Stripe. The customer does not see a notification for this.
X has subscribed to ‘Plan Name’. Customer has purchased a subscription to ‘Plan Name’.
X’s subscription to ‘Plan Name’ will be ending soon. The free trial period is coming to a close. The customer will have access to content until the trial ends. After the trial, access will cease if the customer has cancelled before or at the end of the trial. Access will continue if the customer keeps the subscription.
A new invoice is being created and will be emailed to X. Customer has an upcoming invoice for a plan they’ve purchased; this only refers to invoices created post-free-trial. The customer does not see a notification for this. They will receive receipt if CAA sets this up.
X’s subscription has been updated. Customer has changed their subscription plan.
X’s subscription to ‘Plan Name’ has been cancelled. Customer has cancelled their subscription (during or after the free trial period) and access will cease at the end of the billing period.
A $$$ charge for X has failed. Automatic payment failed due to bad payment info.
X’s invoice for $$$ failed payment. Automatic payment failed due to bad payment info.
X was charged $$$. Customer was charged.
X’s invoice for $$$ was paid. An invoice has been “paid” by Stripe. The customer does not see a notification for this.
X’s invoice has been updated. The invoice has been updated. Stripe records when a charge is attempted and when the next charge attempt will occur. This usually appears after an invoice payment fails.
A new transfer for $$$ was created for DATE. A new batch of $$$ is being prepared for transfer, based on the cohort of free trial subscriptions that have converted to paid subscriptions for DATE.
A transfer for $$$ should now appear on your bank account statement. A batch of $$$ has been successfully transferred to your bank account.
