Custom Thumbnails (Video or Playlist) All transcoded content has automatically generated video thumbnails you may select from. These thumbnails appear on your endpoints as an image representing your video. VOD content has thumbnails generated once the transcode is complete, while Live content has thumbnails generated after the archive is complete. Playlists do not automatically have thumbnails assigned, so you’ll need to add custom images for these.

In the Zype platform, you may upload a custom thumbnail for a video within the video details page, under the thumbnails tab, just below the automated thumbnails section. If you’d like to add a video thumbnail for a Live event before you broadcast, simply exit the Live flow during the “view stream” flow and enter the library. Here you can upload a custom thumbnail just as you would with any VOD content, through video details>thumbnails>custom image. You can re-enter the Live flow through “Live Events” on the left hand navigation bar, once you select the camera icon on your event.

You may upload a custom playlist thumbnail within the playlist details page within the thumbnails tab.
