Sometimes you may want to change the metadata or categorize multiple videos at once. With the Zype platform, you can bulk edit videos so you don't have to edit each video individually. This is helpful if you would like to reassign videos from one category to another or set a group of videos active/inactive.
Go to "Library" on Zype's navigation menu.
Select the videos you would like to edit by checking the boxes in front of each title.
If you wish you select all the videos on a page, you can do so by checking the box on the top left, next to "Title".
Select "Update" and choose all the specifications you desire. For this purpose, we're going to put the videos selected under the "comedy" genre. You can select several specifications at once. For example: Comedy and Action or Movie Clips and Drama.
If you are updating the Active status at the very bottom of the list there is an "Apply changes" button to activate your updates.
If you are updating how videos are categorized there are 2 options, "Add Values" and "Replace Values". "Add Values" will add the updates to the existing metadata. "Replace Values" will remove the existing metadata with the update you're making.
If you are successful, you will get a little alert on the top right corner of your screen. You may need to refresh the page to view the updated.
You can also use the bulk edit feature to reassign videos from one category to a different category or to set a group of videos "active" "inactive"
To reassign videos from one category to another use the "Filters" button to find specific metadata. Then the "Update" button to assign the videos to a new category.
You can also view/check your metadata by clicking on each video (like you would to edit it) and select the "metadata" tab. The changes should be updated here too.
